life and death

Your dad sitting in the same chair in which your grandfather spent his dying days.  Your mom and dad  alternately holding hands, crying; your dad talking about dying: "How do you die?  What happens?  Do you choke to death?  I don't know how to die.  I don't know what happens when you die."  He painted the picture on the wall behind him: three shrimp boats in the Carolina low country.
